Day 84: The Eiffel Tower

Word of the day: башня [bashnya]: tower

Day 84, the 5th of July! Today we got up and listened to some music videos on the television in our room. I will never forget a few of the songs that we listened to: Pay Hard by David Guetta, I Need Your Love by Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding, and Papaoutai by Stromae. Great songs! After we got ready, we left our hotel and walked towards the metro to go see the Eiffel Tower. After getting off the metro, we walked through a few parks. During our short walk we saw these awesome little kids playing soccer. Max wanted to join in on the fun!

Once we got to the Eiffel Tower, we sat down on the grass, relaxed, and just took the view in. Of course, while we sat there, I people watched and saw a lot of different and interesting things. These kinds of places where tourism is high are some of the best places to people watch. Trust me...

People watching got really interesting as we sat in the grass by the Eiffel Tower. Those pants on that guy were like parachute pants on steroids! My mom thought mine were bad! haha They were doing cartwheels and summersaults and having the best time (even though they weren't all that good) haha

We bought a ticket to walk up the stairs of the Eiffel Tower, but it only went about halfway up because the top required us to buy an elevator pass. Maybe we will go all out and buy the elevator ride all the way up next time. ;)

There were a lot of stairs!

The views were worth the climb!
The Eiffel Tower's shadow! So cool!

If you look closely you can see a hot air balloon! What a ride that would be!
This is the Eiffel Tower compared to its descendants. It looks small in comparison! There were a bunch of fun facts as we walked back down the Eiffel Tower's stairs.

Eiffel himself ;)
After leaving the Eiffel Tower, we spotted a really fancy car. Max loves cars, so we decided to document the moment and take a picture :) Then, we walked to the metro so that we could travel to Montmarte, which is a hill that is located North of Paris.  On the top of the hill is a church called the Basilique of the Sacré Cœur. Before we walked up the hill, we stopped by a little restaurant that was recommended to us. We ate some really good salads with homemade potato chips on them...Mmmm.
Max and his love for cars! It was a sweet ride, not going to lie!

Our view from the top of the hill!

It's the city of love, come on, we had to have at least one kissing picture!

After hanging out for a bit and enjoying the view, we walked back to the metro and ended our second day in Paris.
